Do I have to remove my existing rear-view mirror
to use the ModooFree?
No. The ModooFree has been designed with spring loaded clips. This allows you to
install the unit over your existing rear-view mirror.

How do I make a private call?
All Modoo Hands Free Series have a headphone jack on the bottom of the unit. By plugging a
headset to this jack, your calls will be heard using the headset.

I purchased a Modoo Hands Free Car Kit, but the plug that comes with the unit does not attach to
my Nokia phone. What do I do?
All Modoo Hands Free Series come with a 2.5 mm log which will not fit on some phones, such as
some Nokia Models. A GSM
adapter must be purchased to fit phones.

Are the Modoo hands free
kits suitable for my car?
Our range of hands free kits are highly versatile
and are designed to fit virtually any vehicle.
The ModooFree mirror unit clips straight over your existing rear view mirror
utilising the existing space in your car. The only dashboard space required is
for a small circular magnet on which your phone is mounted.
The FreeMe unit plugs directly into your
cigarette lighter socket, and your phone is mounted on its surface. If this is
in an awkward position (eg. in an ashtray or too close to your gear stick) we
also have available a dashboard mounting with a separate power lead running to
the cigarette lighter.

How long do the units take to
install?
All our units are designed for
self-installation.
FreeMe typically takes just a few
minutes to install.
ModooFree is also quickly and easily installed within a
few minutes.
ModooFree PLUS
(with Parking Sensors) is a little more involved, and will generally take
approximately 20~30 minutes to fit.
Comprehensive instructions guiding you through the
installation are to be found in the manuals supplied.

If I change phones, can I still use
the same hands free kit?
Yes. It is simply a matter of replacing the adapter
with one compatible with your new phone. We have a wide range of adapters available in stock for all major GSM
models.

Will Modoo Hands Free
units be legal when the new legislation is implemented?
The exact details of the new legislation are yet to
be finalised (many countries have already became effective), but the indications are that you will be required to use a
dedicated Hands Free facility within your vehicle. Headsets and Ear Pieces will
be outlawed soon, as there must be no physical attachment associated with the user.
This is expected to include BlueTooth headsets.
Check the Dept. for Transport website for the
latest proposals in your country.

How are the reversing sensors for the
ModooFree PLUS fitted?
The sensors attach to the rear of your vehicle
using non-damaging adhesive pads. Also available are sensors that can be
inserted into the bumper of your vehicle. It is recommended that you consider
having these installed by a professional auto-electrician. Bumper-insert
Type of ultrasonic sensors available.(An expert installer
would be required)

I have more than one phone. Can I use
the same kit for all of them?
Yes. All you need is the relevant GSM
adapter for each phone.
If your phone has a 2.5mm hole for 3 segments,
then you can use the Modoo hands free kit without any
audio adapter (direct connection).

Can these units be
hard-wired?
They are designed to run from your cigarette
lighter socket and therefore it is not necessary to permanently install to your
cars electrics. However, should you prefer to hard-wire our units they are
suitable for that purpose.

Can I transfer the unit from one
vehicle to another?
The FreeMe is designed for easy transfer
between vehicles. The self-adhesive mounts are available separately (optional).
The ModooFree is quite easily uninstalled and reinstalled into another vehicle,
but is not designed for transferring on a regular basis.

Does the mirror have a dipping
facility?
ModooFree is a high quality anti-glare mirror and does therefore not
require any adjustment for night time.

Does the magnet affect the battery in
my phone or the electrics in my car?
No. The units use a low-radiation magnet to
mount the phone, which does not affect the battery in the phone or any of the
car's selectrics.
